Ginni Pereira joined the Wallace Stegner Academy team as a third grade teacher in 2016; the very first year, though she has worked in the field of education for 17 years in a variety of roles: para-educator, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 6th grade teacher, and teacher coach. It was while working as a para-educator that Ginni realized her love of teaching. While working in a full-time para position Ginni also earned a Bachelors degree in K-8th Interdisciplinary Educational studies from Western Governors University. She also holds a professional teaching license in the state of Utah and is a Highly Qualified Teacher.
Ginni has a passion for teaching and in her classroom you will find serious learning happening at any given moment! Her third graders clearly understand the importance of not wasting a single moment, and that's because Ginni has taught them to understand and appreciate the importance of a good education. She is the perfect balance of strict and warm. Ginni loves her students and they know it. In her free time Ginni enjoys spending time with her four children (now grown), movies, reading, and spending time with her friends. She is a native of the United Kingdom, and became a US citizen in 2014.
