Heather Johanson began her Career with Wallace Stegner Academy in 2022 as one of our third grade teachers. Mrs. Johanson has had an impressive 25 year teaching career. She has held various teaching positions which include preschool, PreK, Kindergarten, First grade, & Second grade. 

During her tenure as a preschool teacher, her love of enriching student lives blossomed. With this passion being ignited, along with the motivation to follow in her mother's footsteps, a 30 year educator, Mrs Johanson began her journey to becoming an educator shortly after earning her BA in Psychology and becoming a certified teacher. It is quite evident to say that being an educator definitely runs in the family!

Mrs. Johanson enjoys many interests. She loves reading (A LOT!), crocheting, sewing, studying up on her Spanish, and spending time with her wonderful family (and puppy). Her family consists of the best husband in the world and three beautiful daughters. Although Utah has been her only home, Mrs. Johanson enjoys learning from the diverse cultures that she has encountered professionally and personally.
