Adam Gerlach serves as the Co-Chief Executive Officer of Wallace Stegner Academy of Utah, where he has led the institution to achieve statewide and national recognition, including being named Utah’s top-performing Title I charter school and receiving the Nationally Distinguished ESEA School of the Year award in 2025. Mr. Gerlach brings nearly two decades of experience in education, with a professional foundation in elementary instruction, teacher training, and organizational leadership.
Prior to his executive role, Mr. Gerlach worked extensively as a classroom educator and instructional team leader across multiple schools, where he specialized in curriculum design, professional learning communities (PLCs), and achievement-based student groupings. His leadership has consistently emphasized research-based instructional strategies, data-informed decision making, and the integration of educational technology to foster critical thinking and academic success.
Mr. Gerlach holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Southern Utah University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Weber State University. He is a certified Level 2 educator with endorsements in English as a Second Language (ESL) and extensive training in behavior management and instructional coaching frameworks such as Teach Like a Champion and CHAMPS.
