Anthony Sudweeks is a seasoned educational leader and visionary with over 15 years of experience in public education and organizational leadership. As the Chief Executive Officer of Wallace Stegner Public Schools since 2015, Anthony has spearheaded the growth of a high-performing charter school network serving over 2,800 students and employing more than 200 staff members. Under his leadership, the network has earned recognition for academic excellence and equity, consistently outperforming state benchmarks in core subjects.
Anthony’s commitment to student achievement and educational access began with his founding of Wallace Stegner Academy, where he led every facet of school startup—from charter development and site acquisition to curriculum design and enrollment. Prior to his executive roles, he taught sixth grade in both the Salt Lake City School District and at American Preparatory Academy, where he was consistently among the top-performing educators.
He holds two Master of Education degrees: one in Educational Leadership and Administrative Development from Southern Utah University, and another in Instructional Design and Educational Technology from the University of Utah. He also earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and holds both a Utah Administrative License and a Level 2 Professional Teaching License.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Anthony enjoys remodeling houses and camping, pursuits that reflect his passion for creativity, hands-on problem-solving, and the outdoors.
